Two Mormons in Top 12 on ‘American Idol’


Mitt Romney may not be a choice for the U.S. presidency, but Mormons aren’t out of the running for another popular contest this year. “American Idol” season seven is down to the top 12 and two of them are young LDS singers Brooke White and David Archuleta.

White and Archuleta are simultaneously competing for the title of American Idol while also representing their Mormon faith.

    There is one major reason why the Idol fans in Utah is promoting White & David. What you listen from anyone is that they are LDS, so they make a difference from others. This idea that come from the Mormons is more damaging than encouraging. White sang the song LET IT BE where there is clear mentioning of Mother Mary that Catholics worship. She is a Mormon, so how come she sings a song that praises Mother Mary?
